The virgin birth of JESUS CHRIST is the greatest sign ever known to man. It is the most controversal of all signs. It most precious and perfect of all signs. Many find it easier to believe that Adam came directly from God but they struggle to believe that a virgin could concieve with a baby without sexual relationship with a man or any medical operations.Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14
According to the above Bible passage, the virgin birth of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ has been foretold. The unpopular message behinde this birth is that it is a sign from God to mankind. A sign to show that Jesus Christ is coming directly from heaven in a supernatural means. Such birth has never been heard of before and it is most likely it will never be heard of throughout eternity.
This sign is not generally accepted by other religion as mentioned above, but it is only distinct to Christianity. This birth is what makes the Lord divine. A similar instance was the case of Adam, the only difference was that Adam was not carried in the womb.

Why this virgin birth?
Obviously the reason for the virgin birth is to attract the world to the person of Jesus Christ. Although most Bible translator tried to change the word virgin to young maiden because just like most others, they do not believe that such miracle can happen. Well, it is a miracle for a virgin to carry a baby without any sexual relationship with any man. It happened just has it was easy for Adam to come forth from heaven.
What is the major reason the Lord Jesus Christ really came to the world?
The answer is in the message the angel delivered to Joseph when he was disturbed of his fiancees` sudden pregnancy.
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Mathew 1:20-21
The world needed a perfect sacrifice to make atonement for its sins. The blood of those animal in the old testament could not clean it hence could not deliver it from the impending judgement. "For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." Hebrew 10:4/10 This is the reason "..God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." Jhn 3:16-17
